Ingredients:
8-10 pound bone-in fully cooked ham
1/2 Cup water
4 Tablespoons of unsalted butter
1 Cup of Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of Honey
2 Tablespoons of honey
2 Tablespoons of minced garlic
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Play House Spices Bayou Le Batré Seasoning
2 Tablespoons of dijon mustard
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 300°F.
Remove the plastic packaging of the ham. Rinse, trim and clean up any pieces that would burn and allow the come rest for 1-2 hours.
Score the ham with a pairing knife about 1/4 inch deep in a checkerboard pattern. Place the ham in the baking tray.
In a saucepot, pour 1/3 cup of water, butter, brown sugar, honey, mustard, and Play House Spices Bayou Le Batré Seasoning, stirring to mix together well until the brown sugar has completely dissolved, (about 2 minutes).
Reduce heat to low and add in the garlic until cooking for a further minute or two until the glaze just begins to simmer. Do not overcook.
Baste the ham with the glaze and place it in the oven. Repeat every 20 minutes basting the ham until the ham is done. Approximately two and half hours
Let the ham rest 10-20 minutes before slicing.
